Region II: Bilingual Tours & Recruitment Strategies

Sam Houston State University has recently applied to become a Hispanic Serving Institute with over 25% of the student population identifying as Hispanic. This endeavor has led Visitor Services to target this demographic and reach the family, rather than just the prospective student. By offering Spanish tours and programming, we break the language barrier and invite the parents, students, and siblings to experience the college search process together.
