[civsa] Policies on Piercings

Hi Candyce,
Our Campus Tours program does not have a policy on piercings, tattoos, hair
color, etc as we feel they are an expression of the students themselves and
can be reflective of the diverse nature of our student body on campus. All
our College Ambassadors are required to be in uniform during their shifts
and are held to high content standards for their tours, and I've found that
our "unconventional" ambassadors (with septum piercings, tongue piercings,
guys with long hair, etc) get just as high reviews as the rest of our CAs.
We feel this freedom of expression can be exciting for both our CAs and
guests as it's a reflection of the self-discovery/identity-building so
common on college campuses.
Hope that's helpful!
Risa
