RE: GROUP VISITS
Tiana,
On our registration form we have guidelines for group visits listed. We
were also getting several elementary requests, so we have tried our best to
keep visits to high school students, as our programming is best suited for
high school students.
Here is the verbage off of our registration form:
We invite high school students to get to know Anderson University
through *Group
Visits! *
Our visit team manager will contact you to confirm details of your visit.
We will do our best to accommodate your visit requests but appreciate your
understanding and flexibility in advance. General group visits consist of
an admissions welcome and tour. *The group visits are intended for High
School Students*. For a fall group visit we ask that you choose to attend
one of our general Discovery Days or one of our Department Discovery Days
offered in the months of October and November. If one of those dates does
not work, we offer Spring group visits on several days during the week.
Once the Visit Team Manager receives your group request form they will be
in contact with you to determine the dates we have available.*For best date
selection it is advised to plan your group visit 3 months ahead*. Please
take a moment to review the group visit guidelines below as you plan your
visit. *Group visits are not scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. *A
summer group visit is limited to an AU overview and campus tour.
*Group Visit Guidelines:*
1. Anderson University can accommodate groups of 100 or less. All visiting
groups must have 1 chaperone per 8-10 students. Chaperones will be
responsible for all discipline matters needed.
2. AU staff reserves the right to remove a disruptive student from the
group.
3. Chaperones should be engaged in the visit and overseeing students so
this does not need to happen.
4. If a student is removed from the group's activities, it is the
chaperone's responsibility to watch the student while not with the group.
5. Groups may not bring sack lunches or outside food to AU's campus. Groups
can make arrangements to have lunch on campus if they wish, but will be
subject to the food service meal charges.
6. All groups will need to fill out a student information excel and email
it back to the visit team prior to the group visit.
7. If these pre-visit items cannot be agreed upon, AU reserves the right to
decline the campus visit.
8. While on campus, I authorize the use of photographs and video footage
for promotional materials.
Any major change to group numbers needs to be communicated before you
arrive on campus. Please relay this information as soon as possible.
Visits will be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., unless
specific arrangements have been made. Group visits last approximately 1 1/2
hours, consisting of an Admissions welcome and tour.
I hope this is helpful.
