[civsa] Group Tour Scheduling

Hi Scott,

In all actuality we accept the vast majority of special group requests.
However, we do a lot of work with our communication on the front-end to
limit their expectations. We tell groups that they can only visit on
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:00 am, 11:30 am or 1:30 pm. It
really helps our workload and stress levels to tell these groups that they
can only visit during those times. Do they still request Mondays, Fridays,
or the weekend? Yes, they do -- and we actually permit them to do so.
However, if we know we're going to have a very busy Monday or Friday, then
our messaging allows us an *escape plan* from having to accommodate the
special group tour.

feel free to submit a group visit request to see our form and language in

In regard to tour guides, we expect group visit requests at least two weeks
in advance of their visit. If a request comes in within two weeks we will
hold off on scheduling until we can find a tour guide. We have graduate
interns who are tour certified in the off chance we have an extreme
staffing shortage and we absolutely positively have to give the group visit
(e.g., TRIO Programs).
