[civsa] Group Tour Scheduling

Hi Scott,

We restrict our Group Visits to only Tuesday-Thursdays from 10:00am-12:00pm. This way our Group Visits work in tandem with our Daily Visit tours which happen four times a day. We do not currently offer them on Mondays and Fridays because those are the offices busiest days with very high foot traffic and we cannot accommodate groups on those days and maintain the quality of the Group Visit. We make exceptions but they are on a case by case basis, and are few and far between. We do have to say no quite a lot but always try to help find alternative methods for the group in question and its members to get the information they need.

Group Tours, ahhh our favorite subject.

I have a question for you all regarding scheduling groups.  Do you restrict groups to visiting at a certain time of day?  Or even a certain day of the week?

Or do you allow groups to give you a range of dates and range of times, and you figure out what works best with your available tour guides?

What about those groups who can absolutely only visit at a specific date and time and you simply have no tour guides available?
