[civsa] Group Tour Scheduling

Hi Scott! We have 4 time slots per day that a group can choose from (Monday through Friday, 9:30, 11,12 or 2), but the number of group tours we can do a day (or week) varies depending on how many guides are available. When they sign up groups give us their first, second and third choices for dates/times.

We accommodate groups when we have no guides available only on a case-by-case basis. If it’s a group from one of our top feeder schools or organizations, we will accommodate them and have a counselor or Admissions Officer lead the tour. Otherwise we say no.

Group Tours, ahhh our favorite subject.

I have a question for you all regarding scheduling groups.  Do you restrict groups to visiting at a certain time of day?  Or even a certain day of the week?

Or do you allow groups to give you a range of dates and range of times, and you figure out what works best with your available tour guides?

What about those groups who can absolutely only visit at a specific date and time and you simply have no tour guides available?
