Hi Jaime,
At the University of Miami, we do track how many students and guests attend our individual sessions in our Open House for two reasons: interest level and to assist with future planning (room reservations). We normally have 9-12 break-out sessions and each is accompanied by an Admission Counselor or student ambassador. We simply do a head count half way through the session and enter that into an excel document at the end of the program.
It has really helped us with room reservations and informing faculty the following year of how many people they may expect at their individual session!
Best,
Carmen

Subject: [civsa] Event Attendance Tracking
Hello,
I hope this message finds everyone well as we're all winding down to the end of the Spring Semester and gearing up for another AMAZING Conference! I am wondering if any of you take attendance within your events? For instance, we host a large scale open house event called Sun Devil Day, as part of this event, the student can choose to go to 2 academic sessions throughout the day. Do you track attendance at these individual sessions and/or do your colleges track the attendance at their sessions during these events? If so, how is that being tracked?
Thanks,
Jaime Engelhart, M.Ed
