We dispatch some of our students with iPad minis to the different sessions doing headcounts.  The iPad has a Google Doc linked spreadsheet with all the sessions/times pre-loaded.  This allows the students to directly load the numbers so that when it's time to crunch data for reports, there isn't any issue with having to compile it (or lose the sheet of paper the numbers were on).  We also plan to utilize the iPads for our sessions in the visitor center through 'Air Play' to run presentations.  Multipurpose use makes for easier sell to the boss.

Hi Jaime,

For our prospective student events, we record attendance at registration the morning of our programs.  Then we ask the academic departments, or other offerings as part of the day, to record headcounts so that we have an idea of how the visitors distribute themselves.  This is really just to help with space planning for future events.

Hello,

I hope this message finds everyone well as we're all winding down to the end of the Spring Semester and gearing up for another AMAZING Conference!  I am wondering if any of you take attendance within your events?  For instance, we host a large scale open house event called Sun Devil Day, as part of this event, the student can choose to go to 2 academic sessions throughout the day.  Do you track attendance at these individual sessions and/or do your colleges track the attendance at their sessions during these events?  If so, how is that being tracked?
