[civsa] Preview Days & Open Houses

Hi Chris -- attached is Valpo's tentative schedule for our first of two
fall VVDs (Valpo Visit Day).  We lightened it up a bit, as we found this
past year we were trying to accommodate too many interests in this general
visit day; we are holding more of the specific interest sessions during our
visit program for admitted students. We feel the general VVD program should
easily accommodate both high school juniors and seniors in these fall
events.  Our April VVD is a bit different; admitted students are able to
attend and are in the general group for the welcome and academic sessions,
but they have specific interest sessions that are more appropriate for that
audience.

We do provide hanging nametags with name, city, state, and their admission
counselor's name on them. When they check out at the end of the day we have
a "recycle your nametag" box; many students keep the paper insert but turn
in the hanging holder which we can re-use.

Our opening session starts with a welcome from the President or Provost
followed by an interactive powerpoint/Admission presentation by two of our
counselors.
