We used to use YouVisit but now use CampusBird. A few of my colleagues are happier with CampusBird at the moment because it’s A LOT more customizable – and the virtual tour allows you to enter buildings and add 3D videos if you want to. (It’s also linked to Google, so your virtual tour is partially available on Google Maps.)

At a previous institution, we worked with YouVisit and didn't have a very good experience. They are so expensive and did not listen to our edits. The cover photo for our tour was a building that while on our campus, but wasn't actually part of our college. We asked for a photo of our college but they didn't change it since the one in the photo was more eye-catching and modern.
They give you photographs of people to be the tour guide, but the photo was quite misleading from how the person we selected actually looked. We nicknamed her "cheekbones" because she wore so much make-up she looked like an alien.
We didn't actually get much interest from the tour.
I wouldn't recommend YouVisit.

We currently do not have a virtual tour available online and are looking to add this experience. We are interested in getting recommendations of vendors that institutions are happy with. Thanks!

Subject: [civsa] Oregon State - Position Open
Hello All!
I have a Program Coordinator position open in the Welcome Center at Oregon State University. Please share with anyone who would be a great fit, especially any recent ambassador graduates.
The Welcome Center has two Program Coordinators and 45 TOUR Ambassadors, all directly reporting to me (yay ☺). The position shares responsibilities in managing the ambassador program and meeting with prospective students in individual appointments and presentations. Their primary role will be focused on the coordination of group tours, with a role in assisting with open house programs. They also read applications.
Here is the application, which also includes more information about the position duties: https://jobs.oregonstate.edu/postings/57193.
Happy Spring!

Subject: [civsa] Job Posting - Stanford Visitor Center
Hello, CIVSA friends:
Greetings from Stanford!
Please see the info and links below regarding our “Visitor Relations Coordinator” position now available at the Stanford Visitor Center. Our current VRC has risen to a new position within the University, so we’re looking for a new rising (or already risen) star to join our team here under the sunny skies of The Farm.
This is a role that works closely with both the Assistant Director and Director in a high-volume visitor setting. The position currently includes numerous duties and functions related to operations, logistics, scheduling, recruitment, training, and program development, as well as shared supervision and evaluation of our 70-100 student guides. A like to the official job description is below; more specific job-related detail is available from the Stanford Visitor Center. Beyond the description indicated, we are also hoping to have this position evolve to incorporate reading and public speaking duties in conjunction with undergraduate admission.
We enjoy a fun, busy, high-energy, collaborative environment and would love to hear from qualified individuals.
