[civsa] Tour Guide Reminders

Hi all,

Currently we are using Sign-Up Genius as means of allowing our tour guides to sign up for tour shifts. We are a large program with 200+ volunteers. Sign-Up Genius allows students to add the shifts they sign up for to their calendars, however not many students will take advantage of that. With that being said, we have had success on certain days having some of our student workers text message students reminders of their tours that day. I don't want to keep asking students to do this on their personal phones and I would like to find some technology, website, or program that we may utilize to help this process.

Does anyone know of any free options or is anyone using some technology or application to remind their students of upcoming shifts/tours/etc. that is either free/low in cost that can allow for us to just input data and then it texts the participants from there?
