Hello!

At the University of Iowa, we use larger "VIP" badges that are on a Hawkeye lanyard. Visitors can wear these around during their visit to campus and it provides access to the different buildings, complimentary lunch on campus, and some other perks throughout campus and the community. It is laminated and we place their name and date of visit on them because the additional perks are only available during the day of their visit.

Hello!

I am looking to see what fellow colleagues use to identify "campus visitors" in lieu of printing nametags. Our friends in Housing have expressed a concern about guests participating in residence halls during our open house events without some form of identification that the guests are indeed part of our open house programming, and not complete strangers. We know the obvious solution is to use nametags, but we're looking for other suggestions you may have instead. Any advice/recommendations are much appreciated!

Kind regards,
Tiana Hakimzadeh
