Hi Jaime and all,
At NC State, the Admissions office hosts in-state receptions for
prospective students. The Admissions office also hosts out-of-state
receptions for high school counselors in conjunction with various
conferences. We also host a counselor fly-in and invite out-of-state
counselors to our campus. Our Visitor Center is separate from Admissions,
but I can put you in touch with them if you'd like more information.
I wear a few hats and one of them is serving as director of our office of
Parents & Families Services and in this role we partner with the Alumni
association to host in-state receptions for admitted students. This will
be our first year doing this and our goal is to then reproduce these
receptions in our highest yield out-of-state markets. I don't have much
information to provide since we are still in the pilot stages. I'll be
happy to share what we come up with as we develop the program.
Thanks,
Stacy
