[civsa] Leadership opportunities for student volunteers?

Hi Civsa-land!

We have a group of 100 tour guides (The University 100) and a student "Lead Team" of 8 who do much of the recruitment, event planning, and assist with open house scheduling. Every year, we have an increasing interest in applying for Lead Team while the number of spots remains the same (it's the right size the way it is). Has anyone had luck with other ways of providing leadership opportunities for students? I want to find meaningful and focused roles for these students, if we are to offer them something akin to a committee position.
