[civsa] CIVSA: Non-Traditional Students Questions

Hi CIVSA friends!  I could use your help.  My college is looking to invigorate the adult recruitment strategies.  If your college has been successful at recruiting and supporting adult students, I would  love to hear about it.  If you have a department within your institution that handles non-traditional learners could you please direct these questions to them to be answered.  I appreciate your help and your time!

Questions:

1.        What communications flow (print, direct mail, email, social, campus visit, and advertising) has returned the best ROI?  If you have a dedicated website for nontraditional students have you seen an increase in enrollment?

2.       What support systems have worked best for nontraditional students?

3.       What are the most popular programs that nontraditional students enroll?  What makes them popular?

4.       What tools do you use to track student progress academically?  What strategies work best to ensure nontraditional students complete a certificate/degree?

5.       What do you find is most important to nontraditional students (cost, flexible scheduling, advising, convenience, and season: fall, winter, spring and/or summer)?
