Hi Tierra,
We have to contact our Office of Student AccessAbility and they outsource the services (i.e. they work with a company to have an interpreter to come to campus for a specific timeframe and we pay for it). We definitely make sure we call and follow up with these guests in case they need to cancel... we don't want to have to pay unnecessarily for services we don't need. We do ask guests to give us a 2-week notice to allow us enough time to plan accordingly. :)

Howdy CIVSA!
I am interested in knowing how you accommodate prospective students/visitors with requests for disability services, mainly sign language interpreters. Do you refer your visitors to the department of disability services at your school? Do you outsource those services? Do you all have a good working relationship with disability services and they provide assistance to prospective students or do they assist current students only. I am conducting research and looking to revamp the way we handle requests. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
