[civsa] Newsletter Ideas

At Valpo, we have a monthly newsletter (Read Me, Leave Me) that is sent to
all of our student ambassadors. One member of the student leadership team
is responsible for putting together and sending out the newsletter (it's
nice to have something coming from a peer, instead of myself).

This year, we started sending it out of the same day of each month, so the
ambassadors have a better idea of when to expect it. It includes reminders
for the upcoming month, our 'AIA of the month' for the previous month, and
any other interesting facts/reminders that need to be shared with the
group. It's sent out on a google doc, which is more convenient for
students; although I can't guarantee they all read it. Having a 'shout out'
item each month, I think helps give them some incentive to read it. Having
a variety of reminders on it also cuts down on the emails I need to send.

Here's a link to our October newsletter:

Hope that helps!
