[civsa] Regional Recruitment Programs

Good question. For years Miami University (Oxford, OH) hosted an on-campus
reception for Cincinnati and  Dayton OH area prospective students/parents
on two Sundays in Sept or Oct. Cincinnati and Dayton are within 45 min to 1
hour from our campus. While registration for these events was good, the
attendance was poor (a high no show rate). After evaluating the
effectiveness of these events, and the fact that these students and
families could realistically come up any weekday (or any of our Saturday
sessions or Preview Days), we decided to eliminate them.
