[civsa] Admitted Student Days

Good morning everyone,

We offer 10 accepted student days that all follow a schedule filled with
exploration. These take place on Fridays or Mondays so that people can see
our campus in action. The most important thing we've tried to do with
these is give them a clear picture of what life would be like as a student,
during a normal weekday.

Remember that Registration days/orientation days are for students that have
already decided to call your campus home. At least with us, these are
mostly procedural (get your ID, meet with your advisor, schedule your
classes, teach the parents how to read and pay the bursar bill, etc...).
Accepted student days should be constructed with the clear vision that your
attendees have other options they are considering. Try and open your
campus up as much as possible for them to see if it's the best fit. Offer
a chance to visit with faculty from their intended major, see an actual
first year residence hall room, have an information fair with all the
resources that help with student life (rec sports or intrmurals, greek
life, study abroad, campus safety, etc...). It's not always easy to get so
much campus buy in but the more you open your doors, the more students will
feel at home.

Attached is copy of our program.

Take care,

Andrew
