Eric,
San Diego State uses and I have purchased following our campus visit as part of conference this past summer ChatterVox<http://www.chattervox.com/> voice amplifiers. To date we’ve had a good experience with this item.
Website is not all that impressive, but product has performed well.

Subject: [civsa] Voice Amplifier Recommendations
Hello Civsa friends,
I have been given the go ahead to purchase voice amplifiers for my ambassadors. I am looking for recommendations from those of you who use them. Any information you can provide to me would be greatly appreciated.
Also, for those of you who do use them; any tips on how to best train the ambassadors to use them effectively?
Happy holidays!
