Hi Dee,
At UC San Diego, if one of our Admissions Officers or College Ambassadors
are approached with a request for filming, or notice an individual in the
presentation/tour recording, we do not give interviews or grant permission
for them to film. There is a particular office that handles any media
requests and filming, which extends to our admissions presentations and
tours. We make our admissions info session slides available online as well
as an interactive virtual tour, so visitors should not feel the need to
film.
While photos are normal and encouraged, if anyone begins recording any of
our spiels, we briefly interrupt the tour to inform the requestor/filmer
that all materials are available online. If they persist, we politely
remind them of the campus policy and direct them to call the appropriate
office for pre-approval.
Hope this helps,
Risa
