I typically schedule the campus tour first and then the counselors meet with the students for 30 minutes. The counselors are able to address any questions that may come up during the tour that the Ambassador wasn't able to answer. It works well for us!

Happy Friday to Everyone!

We have been talking about the components and length of our daily presentation to groups of prospective freshmen students, and I’m wondering how much time schools set aside for the counselor’s presentation - 30 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour? Also, do you typically have the presentation first or the tour, and do you do anything differently for your Saturday visits? We know that there is a limited attention span and we need to keep students (and parents engaged), but we also want to make sure we’re not giving too lengthy of a presentation just to fill time. We are a small private university, so our groups are typically smaller in size – up to about 15 people or so.

Any success you’ve had with your visits that you’d like to share is greatly appreciated!
