[civsa] Group Tours

Hello!

Here at Rutgers - New Brunswick, we let the groups know that if they'd like any additional 'features' on their group tour (be it a business school presentation or dining hall lunch) they need to set it up on their own. We have a list of contacts that we'll send them depending on what they're interested in, just to steer them in the right direction. We'll work with other departments on occasion to have a representative come to our visitor center to give a supplemental presentation, but the majority of the time, the groups are on their own.

However, while it's easier on us to not have to plan a detailed itinerary for each group, it can get a little messy when they try to do it themselves. Suddenly they need to cut their 90 minute tour down to 30 minutes in order to make an appointment elsewhere. Just something to keep in mind!

Good morning CIVSA Friends!

Group tours - our favorite subject!  I'd like to know how many of you schedule additional appointments for groups upon request?  Such as appointments with other departments, individual advising appointments, etc...  Or - do you only schedule their tour and admissions presentation and they are on their own (with some assistance) to schedule appointments they want?
