[civsa] Campus Tour and Housing Tours

Hi Rachel,
UT Dallas separates the housing tour from the campus tour.
Housing tours are offered at 12pm and 12:30pm each weekday.
The housing tours lasts about 30 minutes
Guests register separately from the campus tour
Residence Life exclusively facilitates the housing tours through their peer advisors and other team members.
We just started doing this last year. The response has been fine... the only negative is that the tours are offered in the middle of the day, so if someone comes to our afternoon tour, they will have missed a housing tour opportunity.  However, the res life office has been pretty good about just individually showing the model suite if a family goes over there after the campus tour.

Would you please share if your institution separates the campus tour portion from the housing tour portion for prospective students?
If separate:

*         What are the hours those housing tours are offered?

*         How long does the housing tour take?

*         Do guests register separately from the campus tour to see the residence hall?

*         Does Housing exclusively facilitate operating these tours (registration, hiring, scheduling etc.)?

*         How long have the tours been separate? Has there been positive or negative feedback?

If not separate:

*         Do you work with Housing to streamline the visit experience?

*         How long does the campus tour and residence hall tour take to complete?
