[civsa] Saturday Tours

Hi everyone,

We we have recently been trying to decide the value of continuing to offer campus tours on Saturdays.  We feel that campus doesn't show as well on Saturday mornings (we offer an information session and tour at 9am), and staff would prefer not to have to come in on the weekends.  However, we wanted to let our data show us what was working better for us, from an enrollment standpoint.

When we pulled our data, our results were different than we expected!  Our Saturday visitors from 2012-2013 actually yielded a few percentage points higher for Fall 2013 enrollment than our weekday tours did during the same time frame.  Even when we broke down the data to look at the different types of people visiting on Saturdays, what their admissions status was at the time of visit, everything still seems to favor the Saturday visits.  Again, only slightly, but we were expecting the numbers to be lower!

What I am wondering is, do any of you have similar findings?  Or we an anomaly?

At this point, I am trying to decide if we should offer additional Saturday tours!
