[civsa] Meal Vouchers for Visits

Hey Jessica,

At King's (small, Christian, undergrad only), we provide meal passes only for our registered full day or overnight campus visit programs. We give the student and their parents/siblings a voucher for each meal during their stay and the amounts vary for each meal since our cafeteria is a la carte (Breakfast $8.00, Lunch $10.00, Dinner $12.00). Maximum stay for us is 3 days and we try to cater some of the group meals to save on costs.
The cafeteria staff will staple an itemized receipt to each voucher and return them to us monthly for payment. Occasionally we'll also do coffee vouchers for the café (using the same system) if a student/family comes for a shorter personal campus visit.

Hi folks,
Just hoping to get an idea around best practice with providing free meals or meal vouchers for a specific amount to guests. Does your institution do this? If so, is it a complimentary meal or a certain amount that you provide? Is it just for the prospective student or for all members of the group (ie: parents, siblings, etc).

Your input is greatly appreciated! As always, I appreciate the wisdom of this amazing group of colleagues.
