Mary Jean,

I work for Purdue University. Our Welcome Center (visitors center) is
administered by the Office of Marketing and Media. We do maintain a close
relationship with the Office of Admissions and support them as needed
(overflow prospective student tours, a middle school program the dovetails
contacts into its CMS system, etc.), but we also have our own mission --
host, advocate and solution center for all Purdue guests (and for Purdue
staff hosting guests).. Our student ambassadors provide tours for VIPs,
donors, alumni, international guests, prospective (and new) faculty and
staff, legislators, etc. We also support programs at Purdue, such as new
Vet student orientation, new international student orientation (and
special tours for international parents), etc.

Mary
