[civsa] Overnight Host Incentives

Hello again!
I am hoping to gain some new insight regarding overnight host programs.

*         Currently our hosts are volunteers who have hosted in some capacity before (not necessarily for Admissions) and have been approved by HR.

o    I don't know them all personally, so it is a little scary for me when I set a prospective student up with one of them.

o   As volunteers it is very hard to get the students to want to host, and to commit to doing it more than once.

*         We have thought about a host scholarship for a select few students on campus.

o   Pretty much, it would mean that they get to live in a single (for no extra cost), but that they have to keep their room clean for visitors and that have to be available (for the most part) any time we need a host (probably only a couple times a month).


Has anyone tried this and has it worked? If not a scholarship, are there other incentives you offer your overnight hosts?
