[civsa] Reserved Res Hall rooms

Hi Lisa,

At Coker we have a similar situation, we do not have any empty rooms to
show because all our rooms have students in them. I have set up a contract
with Residence Life to select a freshman room and sometimes an
upperclassman room as well, to show for our tours. I hold a contest every
fall where freshmen and upperclassmen can submit photos of their room and
then we will select the rooms we like best.

The rooms we select let us show their room only during our tour times and
we do have a key to the room. I have the students who live in the room sign
a contract that says they agree to let us show their room on the specific
days and times that we have tours for the academic year. I also have a
contract for the Ambassadors stating that they know that they
are responsible if something goes missing from the room during a tour. This
has worked very well for us for the past two years. We do throw a pizza
party for the students in the room and also the other students on the
floor, since we bring a lot of traffic through their hall.
