[civsa] Saturday Tour Visits

Tiffany,

We offer visits Monday-Friday at two different times.  However, we do try
to accommodate Saturday visitors when it has been requested.  The visit is
different as they will likely not get to meet with faculty and can't attend
a class.  We still bring in a counselor to meet with them and give them a
tour.  We also have 3 Saturday large group days that we offer during the
school year as well.

We too have run into families expecting us to be open on the weekend and
can be a little irritated when the visit is not able to offer the same
things as a Monday-Friday visit can.  We just do our best to accommodate in
the ways that we can and know that you are not going to make everyone
happy.

I can also agree with the comments that Andrew made about setting
expectations through communication as best as you can.  I also agree that
we get feedback from families that students just don't have other options
for a visit except for a Saturday because they can't miss a school day due
to heavy work loads.
