[civsa] Accepted Students Day Agenda and Sessions- Help!

Oh Kate I feel your angst especially since you are two weeks away!

Our Admitted Student day begins with our Raven 101 which is our student
registration.  Our admitted students that know they are choosing our campus
can go ahead register for classes, sit in on new student seminars and get
their paperwork/ID completed.  We send them to lunch at noon and then
beginning our celebration day.  We kick it off with a welcome delivered by
Admissions staff, our president, and student government students.  Our
mascot makes an appearance and gets students hyped up by throwing out
swag.  Then we break the students into smaller groups that are led by our
student ambassadors.  We do a few ice breaker activities and then head to
Raven games.  Raven games one year was carnival games, another year it was
set up like the olympics and then this year we did backyard games and board
games.  We also have a candy bar and hot cocoa bar as well as a DJ and
Photo booth.  After Raven Games our Residence Halls host open houses.
Students can visit each residence hall.  Our halls also have a fun snack
and game to offer as well to our visiting students.  After that our
students headed to dinner with their Ambassador leaders, then we had an
hour of worship.  We are a faith based institution so chapel will be a part
of their experience while they are students, so we do a high energy praise
service.  After that, we partnered with our Campus Activities Board and
held an Escape AU event similar to the Escape Rooms that are found all over
the country.  Each group of students got to Escape from two rooms.  Our
departments and students all pitched in to help create these Escape Room
experiences.  We had 16 in all to choose from.  After the Escape Room
event, we hosted the students on our back patio for music and s'mores
around our fire pits to close out the evening.  We used to do an entire
weekend, but with students busy schedules we only have an Admitted Student
day that we host in early March.
