[civsa] Admission Appointments & Campus Visits

Good morning!

I'm seeking some assistance from those of you at medium to small sized institutions regarding visits and the ability to meet with an admission counselor.  Here at Concordia, our current process is that most of our weekday visits are personalized where families can tour, meet individually with an Admission Counselor, and have appointments arranged to meet with faculty, coaches, etc.  We have 8 admission counselors.  We are at a point where our department leadership is requesting that we look into revising our visit model that would not require our admission counselors to give individual admissions appointments.  We have utilized this "group presentation" strategy during peak visit times, but I'm curious to know if there are other similar schools who are only doing an admissions presentation on a daily basis?

How do you handle students who have already applied, or perhaps are on a second visit?  Do you receive any pushback from families?  Do your counselors still feel that they are able to effectively connect with the prospective student/family?  Any advice you could provide?

For those of you who have stayed with an individual admissions model, how many staff do you have?  What is your daily visit structure like?  Approximately how many visitors per day can you accommodate?

Sorry I realize there are a lot of questions here.  This has just come up and the leadership is looking to make changes fairly soon...so I'm scrambling to gather as much info as I can.
