[civsa] Junior Preview Days

Good afternoon, Nate:

I’m writing from Grove City College, Grove City PA. We are a small, Christian, liberal arts college with 2,500 students in Western, Pennsylvania. We have one Junior Crimson Day every spring which is different than what we do for fall open houses. It is the greatest attended event we offer with over 1,200 guests.

I’ve attached last year’s program for your review and benefit. We welcome the participants with a program featuring messages from our President and award-winning Career Services Office. We also hand-select two students, one male; one female, to represent the student body. These students have a dramatic on-stage conversation about their childhood/youth, what led them to choose our College and share a little about how their college experiences have developed and shaped them into the excellent students they are today.

Then, the participants rotate through three exploration activities:

Walking Campus Tour
Major Fair in our gym, featuring programs of study and student services
Lunch in the Dining Hall

Participants also enjoy optional financial aid sessions, presentations from our Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and sneak peaks of our freshman residence halls. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about an event for juniors.

Hello All!

I am looking at adding some sort of "preview day" for high school juniors in the Spring.  Currently we have two Open House events in the Fall, and one in the Spring, but they are all essentially the same.  Since our Spring event takes place after our application deadlines, and it's mostly attended by juniors anyway, I would like to make it a juniors only function, with a different agenda than the Fall event, so people will still come back.  I was wondering if some of you folks that currently offer junior days might be willing to share your schedules?  Anything you can send along would be greatly appreciated.
