[civsa] Campus events during Veterans Day

Hello! We are having difficulty picking a date for our fall Open House. Our preferred date is Saturday, November 11, but that is Veterans Day. There’s a ceremony near our campus, but no parade in Chicago that would conflict with our event. My question is, it is bad practice to host an event on Veterans Day? Will we potentially offend any parents/Veterans? Do students have time off from school so they would not want to attend an event that weekend? Any thoughts? The event must be on a Saturday so no wiggle room there.
