[civsa] Self-Guided Group Visits

Hey Friends!

We often cannot accommodate groups when they want to come too - our scavenger hunt activity is not online, but we physically email them a copy. 99% of the time, we cannot offer them a tour, but we do offer them the scavenger hunt and a presentation from a counselor. There are rare occasions where they just want to come visit and not hear from a counselor, in those cases, we email them the scavenger hunt and don't book them (but there is at least a paper trail of the process, because as we know, the folks arranging these group tours can be just as troublesome as the kids...)

Subject: [civsa] Self-Guided Group Visits

Hello All,

I know that high school groups are always a troublesome issue for a lot of our institutions. In the instance that you are unable to accommodate a group (size, date, etc.), how many of you only offer a self guided brochure that is found online (that way you do not go through a formal booking of the group)? We currently have a couple of experiences that we offer with our self guided information but it is still funneled through our center. We still greet the guests and give them the information but then they are on their own. Just curious as to how many of your institutions say "no, we can not accommodate you but you are welcome to print out our self guided brochure," to an extent. I look forward to everyones responses.
