Natalie,
We do not have a formal relationship with the development office but we do receive requests from the Development office and each college’s development departments all of the time, to provide tours for donors, alumni, and corporate guests. The President’s office as well as the Office of Engagement has also picked up on our services and in appreciation, the President’s office recently invited those students that had provided tours for his office to a Basketball game sitting with him in his section. If you mean by a “presence” …an actual staff member, probably not but keeping open a line of communication would be very helpful for them and give more gravity to your Center.
Cindy

Subject: [civsa] Visitor Services & Development/Fundraising
Hi CIVSA friends!
Does anyone out there partner with Development/Fundraising on your campus to enhance the visitor experience? The Alumni Association gives us alumni buttons for alums who come back and take a tour, but that's about it right now. We are wondering if it would be worth while for Development to have a presence in our Visitors Center.
Thank you in advance for the feedback!
Have a great day,
