Birmingham-Southern College invites applications and nominations for the position of Admission Event & Visit Coordinator.

Located in Birmingham, Alabama, BSC is a four-year, private institution that, in recent years, has been consistently identified as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country for its academic quality and value. The College seeks a collaborative and high energy professional, wishing to utilize their gift of hospitality and organizational skills to facilitate the daily campus visit program as well as plan and execute all on-campus recruitment events.

The event aspect of the position includes responsibility for collaboratively managing all details of recruitment events such as reserving facilities, managing catering details, coordinating Birmingham-Southern College personnel (staff, faculty, students and alumni) to events. Additionally, collaborating on the development of event-related printed and electronic invitations, information and programs is also the responsibility of the coordinator. Other important aspects of the position include maintaining a master calendar and planning timeline for all recruiting events. Conducting evaluations of each event and making improvements based upon the evaluations will be a requirement for this position.

The visit aspect of the position includes for collaboratively managing all aspects of the daily campus visit program such as greeting prospective students and their families, coordinating classroom visits and overnight stays when requested, working with recruitment staff on group information sessions and individual appointments.

The successful candidate will have experience with event planning. A bachelor's degree is required and experience in a college setting is preferred. The desired candidate will also have strong organizational and communication skills.
