[civsa] Student Cell Phones

Hi Nicholas,

Our Information Guides, who work at three Campus & Community Welcome desks across campus, are not allowed to have their phones on them during their shift. Our Tour Guides carry their cell phone in case of emergency. Our office staff are allowed to have their phones during their shifts but we encourage them to take a break outside the office if they receive, or need to make, a personal call. I have attached our current student job agreement that outlines our social media policy in accordance with the university's guidelines. I hope you find this information helpful.

Hello All,



Do any of you have any policies regarding student cell phone use in the office? We currently do a decent amount of pushes with social media and all of our guides are utilizing snapchat/other outlets as well as utilizing them on their tours for location/time but we do have some issues with them continuing to be on their phones. Do any of you happen to collect them up at the beginning of the day or have any specific policies in place that help combat cell phone usage?
