[civsa] Inventory Management Suggestions

Hello, CIVSA!



Our Welcome Center at the University of St. Francis will be taking over inventory responsibilities for the goods we use at admissions events, college fairs, school visits, etc. We currently have a storage room with all the inventory and are looking for a software that will make it easy to keep track of the goods we use for these events. 




Majority of our inventory is consumable - we give it out and it doesn't come back - so we are hoping to also set up a system where our admissions counselors/other offices can submit a request to receive inventory for their events, and we will be in charge of taking out of inventory and delivering their request. 




I'm looking for what your experiences are using different inventory management software. Do you prefer one over another? What has worked and what hasn't? Does anyone use a system that accomplishes the above - interoffice ordering of inventory?
