Good Day!
At the University of the Sciences, our Ambassadors are cross-trained to provide tours for both traditional freshman as well as transfer students and we also have Graduate Ambassadors who provide tours for our non-professional graduate programs. These Ambassadors typically provide tours for new staff/faculty, high school groups, alumni events, special VIPs that our Community Affairs Director brings on campus and/or Board of Trustee members, as well as visiting High School/Independent/College Counselors.
Depending on the population, the tour route may be modified to meet the needs of the group (i.e. transfer students do not see freshman residence halls or specific labs may be highlighted for professional level groups, etc).
The offices on-campus are aware of our regular tour times (weekdays at 10 am, noon and 2 pm) and we ask that any offices with new employees call us to 'register' for a specific time to verify we're hosting tours on a specific day or there isn't another conflict; it should also be noted that we have done non-regular time tours for special groups as needed (including weekends and late afternoon).
Any questions please feel free to contact me. Good Luck! Laura

Hello Everyone!
At The University of Toledo, the Office of Undergraduate Admission is housed in a separate location from the rest of enrollment management (our adult, transfer, online and military offices are under enrollment management but housed in a building across campus). The transfer office regularly requests tour guides for students interested in transferring to UT. We also receive requests, however less frequently, from other offices on campus- mainly for faculty and staff that have just been on boarded.
My question is for those supervising tour guides: Do you have experience with providing individual tours for outside offices? How are these scheduled and what kind of policies do you have in place for providing these tours? Is there a time during the day/week/month in which these tours can be scheduled? Are your guides trained to give different "types" of tours?
Thanks for providing any insight you can!
GO ROCKETS!
