[civsa] Admitted Student Overnight Events

Good afternoon!

I, too, would love some info about the admitted student overnight event programming.  We did our very first overnight event for admitted students last year.  It was very small and we really focused on the Sunday evening portion.  It was very successful. This year, we would like to expand into more of the admitted student day with an overnight option.  I am trying to develop programming for the Monday "day" portion.

Mike, on Sunday evening, the parents had a "mocktail" reception with Admissions and Academics.  The different colleges set up tables with displays and set up senior projects.  There were professors and students there to talk to the parents about what the students are doing in classes.  The only cost involved was serving the drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone would like to share what type of events or programming they put on for students and/or parents who attend an overnight admitted student event, preferably separate programs for these two groups.
At Valpo, we host admitted student events on select Mondays in the spring with an overnight visit option for students on Sunday night. I am trying to develop new programming for both audiences for the Sunday night portion.
Budget is a concern, but I would greatly appreciate any feedback that you have.
