We also use group me, just as described by Allison and Karen. The officers for one of our ambassador groups has a separate account from the members to help keep things organized.

Along the same lines as Allison, we use Group Me with fairly strict guidelines. Only professional staff and student Captains are allowed to send messages through Group Me. Our Tour Guides took it upon themselves to create a second Group Me thread where they request shift coverage, post jokes, etc. It works well for us.

Good Afternoon!
We have found that GroupMe works best. I know many students are in several GroupMe’s with friends or other organizations, so we have strict rules to posting in our GroupMe. When there is a post it is important they look and they know it is beneficial for them to look because it is strictly business for the organization and not small talk on there. Having the strict guidelines for our GroupMe was their idea because they get overwhelmed with many messages from different groups.
Hope this helps!

Hi everyone,
I am currently trying to determine if it would be best to have a groupme or a facebook group as a means of informal communication amongst my student ambassadors. I would greatly appreciate any feedback as to what various schools currently use, and which works best.
Thanks.
