[civsa] Customer Service Training Ideas

I love the lollipop leadership TED Talk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVCBrkrFrBE). You can give all participants lollipops and encourage them to think about the power and impact they have on each experience they have interacting with someone, no matter how small. This is a good lead in to brainstorm how to provide exceptional customer service.

Good morning everyone!

I use the Golden Circle (Start With Why) by Simon Sinek from his TED Talk to help my Ambassadors understand their role, how to go about customer service, etc etc etc.  More info here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPYeCltXpxw  Helping them understand WHY helps with customer service.

For our Spring Semester Kick Off, we will be revisting the FISH Philosophy and will be emulating some activities from the book itself (My CIVSA Book Club Review on FISH and Customer Service is in the Members Only Area).  But when I was reviewing FISH for the webinar, I discovered some great things that a lot of us in higher ed and student affairs have forgotten in the last ten years, so we are going in hard with FISH for 2016 :)
