[civsa] Interview Questions for Prospective Tour Guides

Tiffany: Here are some question we use. I also attached a rubric for rating
the candidates. We also wanted to change up the way we interviewed tour
guides but more importantly we wanted to stop just hiring people because
they were "bubbly." Now we focus more on "Can this person tell their story"
and "Can they keep the group engaged"

2. Tell us about your work experience(s).

   What challenges have you overcome?

3. What does the Jesuit Mission mean to you?

4. Let’s say you’re giving a tour and there are beer cans in the show room.
How would

    you handle that?

5. What are your most favorite and least favorite things about being a
Billiken Buddy?

6. What is your least favorite thing about SLU? If you could change one
thing, what

    would it be?

7. Let’s say you’re giving a tour and another current student yells “SLU
sucks! Don’t go

   here!” How would you handle that?

8. How would you talk about campus safety to prospective students and
parents?

9. How would you explain the Jesuit Mission to a family that has made it
clear they are

   not religious?

10. What do you like to do in your free time?

11. What is your favorite movie/book/show?

12. You’re very involved. How do you manage your time?

13. How did you choose SLU?
