Hello all:
I am emailing today with a question about dress code for both professional staff as well as student staff in your Visitor Centers...
At UCSB, the Visitor Center is part of the Office of Admissions but we are physically separate from the non-public departmental offices where many of our daily staff presenters have their work spaces. This being the case, a counselor may dress differently on a day when s/he is scheduled to present than on a day when s/he is not. As you might imagine, this poses a problem when we need to add or replace a presenter due to illness or other scheduling issue because not all available staff are dressed appropriately.
As such, I have two questions:
1) What is appropriate dress for staff in your public centers?
2) Is it the same for all staff in your department?
And things brings up my final question:
What about student staff? Is it different than professional staff? If so, how so?
Any insight you can provide into the policies at your schools would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Have a wonderful week!
