Hi Jessica,
At the University of Miami, our tour guides are required to attend a regular tour once every other week throughout the semester (as assigned), to complete at least one special group tour a semester, and to attend the 1 or 2 open houses per semester and help in various capacities as needed (fall semester has 1 and spring semester has 2, which are all mandatory). Other mandatory events include new-member training (if applicable), and one semester kick-off meeting at the beginning of each semester. There are no point values associated with these mandatory events, but points can be deducted if a tour guide does not attend, and he/she can be put on "probation" if it becomes a recurring issue. CCC points can be earned by helping out at one of our two College Counselor Conference (high school counselor fly-in program) weekends at the beginning of spring semester. Tour guides are required to have at least 150 points at the end of each semester.
Regular Tours: 15 points
Special Tours: 20 points
CCC: 20 points
Open House: 40 points
We have various tiers of prizes based on points at the end of the year. We determine them at the end of the year once we can see how the distribution shakes out, but there are usually a few presents that everyone gets and then a few for those who have gone above and beyond- usually ranging from 3-5 different tiers depending on the year.
Best,
Carmen

Subject: [civsa] Ambassador Incentive/Point Systems
Hello Everyone!
For those of you that manage ambassador programs in your office, do any of you have incentive or point-based systems in place? We have a large volunteer ambassador program and are looking to re-vamp parts of our program using a points scale (i.e. you earn x amount of points for a tour, panel, etc). and so many points are required per month (or something similar).
Would love to hear what other ambassador programs are using/if someone has a system in place like this already!
Many thanks,
Jessica
