[civsa] Shuttles for Tours

Hi Jaime,

We have three "trams", which are essentially large, electric golf carts that we purchased specifically for the purpose of giving tours.  Two of them are 14 passenger and one is 11 passenger that is also wheelchair accessible.  We have had them since September of 2014, and they have been great.  We use them for all of our daily tours for a walking/riding hybrid type tour.

We utilized two student guides on every tour.  One to drive and one to focus on giving the tour.  We originally wanted to have a single guide do both, but we realized that there wasn't a really safe or easy way to do that, especially since our trams only drive on university sidewalks.  We allow for any of our tour guides who are interested to become "tram certified" which involves going through tram training and successfully completing a test that is both written and behind the wheel.

I have attached for your reference (and anyone else who might be interested) the spec sheet for the trams that we ultimately purchased, as well as our current tram training guide.

Hi Jaime -

SNHU is launching our first shuttle hybrid tour this summer and we are using two tour guides to conduct the tour.  One for driving and one for dong the campus tour.  We are still in the beginning stages of this new campus tour but am happy to share any insights once we get it rolled out.
