[civsa] summer ambassadors

Hello,

I would be interested to hear how you run your summer ambassador programs. Our program is as follows:

May-August (15-20 students hired)

Hours:
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm ( we offer school specific tours, private and standard 10am & 2pm tours)
Saturday's 9am-11:30 include working the front desk greeting our guests and a tour at 10am.
6 mandatory events for our special "visiting days"
They have a set schedule that stays the same for the summer- working the front desk, tour times, answer phones etc. They are responsible for covering all of their own shifts with an email to me to confirm the request.
To save on my budget I encourage vacations, time off, late in, early out-
We do offer housing,  however  we pay ½ of their housing expenses up to 5 students.

I would love to hear feedback on how you run your programs-I know its early but it's about 7 degrees here and I need  warm stories :)
