[civsa] Travel Reimbursement Question

Here at Saint Vincent College, we offer a travel reimbursement program for admitted students.
The maximum reimbursement they are allowed is $400.  They must submit itemized receipts for all and eligible charges include hotel, gas, airfare, food (no alcohol), and tolls.  We do have an agreement with one of the nearby hotels for direct bill, so I can offer to cover the hotel for families upfront  (it is still considered part of the up to $400 total) but they don't have to wait for that portion to be reimbursed.
We do not currently have any additional parameters set up concerning distance from campus or GPA, etc.

At Indiana Tech, we are beginning to think about travel reimbursement for some of our campus visitors.  One of our Admissions Counselors asked me to post his question to you all.  We would appreciate any feedback you have to offer!

"Does anyone reimburse students who travel (air fair or gas cards?) to visit campus? Do you set the parameters by how far they are coming from, GPA, or something else?"
