[civsa] CIVSA Policy Around Meal Passes

At the University of Arizona, we only provide meal cards for large scale Office of Admissions events such as Open Houses (what we call Arizona Experience) and Road Trips (monthly high school visit days). Attendee's to this type of event get a either an $8 or $10 meal card that can be used anywhere on campus. Prospective students and guests who attend general admissions tours are not offered meal passes. As for special-case students such as athletes or honors students, the respective corresponding departments work with these individuals so I cannot speak for their policies.

Our university used to provide meal passes to every visitor until it became too expensive.  We now provide meal passes on a case basis.  Admission Counselors have these in our offices and offer meal passes after meeting with a family.

Hey everyone,
I know this has been brought up before, but I am wondering if anyone has a written policy regarding meal vouchers. Currently, we are giving unlimited passes to prospective students, their families, and any athletic recruits that visit campus. This includes overnight visitors who may be on campus for several meals. I'm wondering if we really need to be doing this.  If we end up limiting the passes, I would like to develop some kind of policy that I can distribute internally (especially to coaches). Let me know if you have anything you wouldn't mind passing along. Thanks!
